Singam Puli Tamil Movie Story:
A double role treat, the story is about two brothers. Siva (jiiva) the elder one is honest, sincere and he sells fish in the market. Ashok (jiiva again) is the younger one who is an advocate and is pampered a lot by his parents (ponvannan, kuyili). Ashok is also a big womanizer and he keeps chasing girls with his friend Bujji Babu (santhanam). Then there is Swetha (divya) who is in love with Siva. The story takes a turn when Ashok plays with a girl Gayathri (soundarya) and she eventually dies. Siva knows it is Ashok's fault and approaches the court. However, he fails to prove Ashok's fault. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Singam Puli Tamil Movie Presentation:
The director has come up with an appealing storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was disappointing. The dialogues were okay, the script had few jerks and the screenplay was hardly effective as it dragged in many places. Background score was alright but songs were disappointing. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were trendy while the art department made its presence felt. Jiiva has come up with a good performance in the double role and has showed the variations very well. Divya Spandana looks deliciously sensuous, Soundarya was just okay, Santhanam tried to bring few smiles, Ponvannan was regular while Kuyili was natural.

HQMoviesBox.com Verdict: Could have been better

Film: Kacheri Aarambam (2010)

Cast: Jeeva, Poonam Bajwa, Vadivelu, JD Chakravarthy, Azhagam Perumal, Kadhal Thandapani, Manohar, Muthukalai, Bava Lakshmanan, Kingkong, Sriranjani

Direction: Thiraivannan

Production: RB Chowdary

Music: Imman

Plot:

'Kacheri Aarambam' is Jeeva's ticket to stardom. The actor, who is credited a lot for doing off-beat roles in the recent past, has consciously taken to do a racy commercial pot-boiler. Debutant filmmaker Thiraivannan has seemingly rehashed several scenes from many of the entertainers that made buzz earlier.

Jeeva reminds one of 'Thenavattu', where he almost played a similar role with same Poonam Bajwa around. The presence of seasoned campaigners like J D Chakravarthy and Vadivelu around, 'Kacheri ....' is nothing but a full-length commercial venture aimed at the so-called B and C audience.

The energy at which the story moves is the hallmark of the movie. Forget logic and sit through the film for a roller-coaster ride, which you would have had many times before watching such films.

The film begins at a journey in train where Paari (Jeeva) looks back at everything. Cut! the story goes to one remote village in Ramanathapuram. Paari is a do-gooder who helps everyone in need. A magnanimous man, he gives anything and everything to others if they ask for, apt to his name.

Promising his dad (Azhagan Perumal) to earn more, Paari sets out to Chennai to earn money. But he is thrown to more challenges in city. He meets a young girl Madhi (Poonam Bajwa) and falls in love with her. But also comes some trouble for Paari in the form of some goons, who flexes muscles with him. Sivamani (J D Chakravarthy), the dreaded but sophisticated don of the city gets ready to marry Madhu. It is now up to Paari and Sivamani to sort it out.

Jeeva has enough scope to try his hand at comedy, flex muscles and sing duets. Seemingly targetting youth, He has opted for more scenes that would appeal to the young generation. Poonam Bajwa looks cute. She has to get her emotions on screen right.

Vadivelu as Deepavali evokes laughter. His one-liners are witty. J D Chakri impresses a lot. His subtle performance is the highlight. A couple of songs by Imman are foot-tapping.

Produced by Super Good Films, 'Kacheri...' is a formula film, but Thiraivannan can be credited for making the movie work with his racy screenplay. Otherwise it is one among the many.

Siva Manasula Shakthi Tamil Movie Story:

A known tale, the story begins with Siva (Jeeva) who chances upon Sakthi (Anuya) in a train journey. To project himself, Siva says he is an army officer whereas the truth is he is a delivery boy in a courier company. On the other hand, Sakthi says she is an airhostess whereas she happens to be a radio jockey at a station. In no time, the truth gets revealed and then begins a battle of wits since they want to show each other as to who is the better among both. Though they come out with ways and means to trouble each other, a strong binding force keeps getting them together and the moment comes when Sakthi's father decides to get her married to a techie in the US that it hits upon her that she is in love with Siva. The delivery boy from his end is also struck by cupid and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Siva Manasula Shakthi Tamil Movie Presentation:

The director has come up with what could have been an interesting tale if the plot was not dragged, the presentation was alright but the narration could have been better. The script had its own flaws while the screenplay was nice, music was the soothing grace and had two good numbers while the cinematography was also neat. Editing was haphazard, the costumes were perfect and the art department has also done a good job. Jeeva has come up with a contrasting role to his image and it has been a mixed bag of sorts for him and his performance, Anuya is sexy but she has a long way to go if she is looking at a career, Urvasi was humorous and so was Santhanam and they provided relief in their own way. Though Arya was there for a guest role, he has stolen the limelight with his brief presence. The others were just about okay.
