Vettaikaran Tamil Movie Story:
A typical routine masala, the story begins with Ravi (vijay) whose sole goal in life is to become a police officer. He hails from Tuticorin and his role model happens to be the tough cop Devarajan (sri hari). Having passed his 12th standard, Ravi comes to Chennai for doing degree and here, he chances upon Suseela (Anushka) and it is love at first sight for him. He also takes up the job of an auto driver for his expenses. However, story takes a turn when Chella (ravishankar), son of the dreaded don Vedhanayagam (salim ghouse) misbehaves with the college girl Uma (sanchita). Ravi takes Chella to task and invites the wrath of Vedhanayagam. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Vettaikaran Tamil Movie Presentation:
The director has come up with a predictable storyline and it was the presentation that scores than the narrative. The dialogues were filled with typical Vijay punchlines, the script was alright and the screenplay was apt. Background score was good but except two songs, the music was not upto the mark. Cinematography is top notch and colorful. Editing was crisp, costumes were trendy and the art department gave rich presentation. Fights were good. Vijay has done these roles before so nothing new from him but then the energy levels were good. Anushka sets the screen on fire with her oomph and though there is nothing for her in performance, she made her presence felt. Sri Hari looks elegant and matured in his role, it is good to see Salim Ghouse back on the screen and he carries out his role effectively. Ravi Shankar was neat, Sanchita Padukone was good, Sayaji Shinde made his presence felt. The others didn't have much to offer.
