Madurai Sambavam Movie Story:
A typical revenge saga, the story is set on the backdrop of the temple town of Madurai and near this is the small place Aattuthotti. This area is being ruled by one man Aalamaram (radha ravi) who is a very powerful and also very feared man. However, though he is a don of sorts, he is a very kind hearted man and does all good things. He believes in doing justice the right and strict way. He has his son Kutty (Hari) who stands by him at all times. Meanwhile, Aalamaram has got enemies in the form of the local MP Cut Out Ganesan (dhandapani) along with DIG (raj kapoor). They are waiting for a chance to get rid of Aalamaram. The story takes a turn when a new lady cop Caroline Thomas (anuya) comes into the picture and she ends up killing Aalamaram. Also, she and Kutty fall in love with each other. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Madurai Sambavam Movie Presentation:
The director has come up with a regular subject but then the presentation has been good though the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were normal, the script was having few loose ends and the screenplay was alright. Background score was good but songs were not that great, cinematography was standard. Editing was required at few ends. Costumes, locales and art department were effective and made their presence felt. Harikumar has done his bit to fit the role of a typical Madurai guy, he has shown ease and comfort in front of the camera. Anuya looks seductive and has performed well, Karthika is good, Radha Ravi is the real show stealer with his matured performance, Dhandapani was as usual and so was Raj Kapoor. The others didn't have much to offer in this one.
