Payanam Tamil Movie Story:
A different tale, the story begins with a flight taking off from Chennai and it gets hijacked by terrorists. They plan to take it to Pakistan but due to an engine failure, they force a landing in the Tirupathi airport. The case is taken up by home secretary Vishwanath (prakashraj) who arrives with his team to the Tirupathi airport. Also, he is joined by Major Ravi (nagarjuna) and his commandos to perform a military operation if necessary. The terrorists demand the release of their leader Yousuf Khan. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Payanam Tamil Movie Presentation:
The director has come up with a gripping storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was strong. The dialogues were neat, the script was alright and the screenplay was better though it bumped in few places. Background score was the highlight. Cinematography is the top notch. Editing was crisp but was not sharp at the required places. Costumes were natural while the art department was excellent. Nagarjuna comes up with a matured performance and he looks handsome as usual. Prakashraj had brief presence but he made the most of it. Bharath Reddy was good, Poonam Kaur was alright, Sana Khan was okay, Brahmanandam was not upto the mark. Thalaivasal Vijay was nice. Prithvi was average, M S Bhaskar was moderate, Kumaravel was usual. The others did their bit as required and added value.
Payanam Tamil Movie Conclusion:
Though the film is made on a completely different backdrop, it manages to get the attention of the audience due to the deft handling of the script. While the first half goes about with the building of the plot, the second half gets into the twists and turns. If the comedy track was worked with flavor, it would have been more effective. Overall, the film deserves appreciation for the variety in its theme and the treatment of the plot. At the box office, the chances of success are very high.
