Thoonga Nagaram Tamil Movie Story:
An interesting tale set on the backdrop of Madurai, the story is about four friends (Vimal, Bharani, Nishanth and Gaurav) who live life on their own terms and don't hesitate to take any risks. One among them (vimal) is a videographer and his life takes a turn when he chances upon his childhood friend (anjali) who works as an anchor in a local TV channel. In no time, they fall in love. However, the videographer catches a young man taking video clippings of a girl and blackmailing her. He bashes up the guy and he happens to be the son of a powerful man (chidambaram). What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Thoonga Nagaram Tamil Movie Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was neat, the narrative was prompt though it was predictable at places. The dialogues were good, the script was given good punch but the screenplay got elongated at few points. Background score was good and two songs were nice, especially the song on Madurai. Cinematography is the highlight of the film. Editing was crisp. Costumes were effective and the art department was natural and realistic. Vimal came up with a good performance and he shouldered the film well. Anjali has a natural sex appeal and she is giving double impact with her performance. Bharani was good, Nishanth was natural, Gaurav made his presence felt. The real show stealer was Chidambaram who gives a strong impact. Vadivelu's cameo brings some light moments.
Thoonga Nagaram Tamil Movie Conclusion:
Unlike the regular flicks which are based on Madurai, the team has taken care not to get into the routine path. The first half of the film breezes off smoothly and doesn't give much of an idle time. The second half has enough momentum and the pace of the film keeps the audience busy. Credit must be given to the technical team for giving a pleasant feel and there is a freshness in the performances as well. The only setback for the film is few predictable sequences which remind you of other films. At the box office, this will appeal to all genres of audience and can get into profit zone smoothly.
