Panchamugi Tamil Movie Story:

A stale tale, the story begins with Honey (anushka), a city girl who is a fashion designer and has big plans for her career. However, the pressure of marriage from her family makes her tell a lie. Meanwhile, in another place Janagam, there is the villain (pradeep) who is keen on getting a treasure trove in the local Ammavari temple. However, there is a hitch in that for him. Story takes a turn when Honey is spotted by Vamsi (samrat) who starts to follow her. He has a flashback and that involves Panchakshari (anushka). What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Panchamugi Tamil Movie Presentation:

The director has come up with a rotten track and though the presentation was good, the narrative was pathetic. The dialogues were okay, the script was weak and the screenplay was erratic. Background score was disturbing while songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography is a major highlight and so is the art department. Costumes were apt and the editing could have been crisp. Visual effects were okay. Anushka looks slender and more beautiful, she managed both roles in a good way. Samrat is handsome and can work better on his expressions, Pradeep Rawat was convincing, Bhrami was not upto the mark, Ali was okay, Nasser was natural, Raghu Babu was regular. The others like Telangana Sakuntala, Ravi, Sudharani, MS, Subbaraya Sarma, Chandramohan did their bit to fill the screen and the time frame.

Vande Mataram Tamil Movie Synopsis:

Vande Mataram is an investigative action thriller with superstar Mammooty and Tamil action hero Arjun in the lead, has completed shooting last year.

Vande Mataramis directed by T. Aravind, tells the story of a group of officers who go hunting for terrorists, who have been creating havoc in the Tamilnadu - Kerala border. Mammootty plays an officer in the Intelligence Bureau while Arjun plays a Superintendent of Police.

The film is a bilingual project, being made simultaneously in Malayalam with the title Vande Matharam. Produced by Pankaj film's Henry.

This patriotic action flick was made at a budget of Rs 14 crores.

Vande Mataram Tamil Movie Story:

Police Vs Terrorists: The theme has been taking its same place across the ages. Several of our heroes have got through such flicks fighting against the hundreds of terrorists either as a single-man army or in team. ‘Vande Mataram’ belongs to the latter one as Malayalam superstar Mammooty and action king Arjun team up for the mission of curbing down the terrorists’ activities.
A secret conference held by Prime Minister reveals that terrorists have hatched plans to devastate South Indian territories. Apparently, PM assigns South Indian Intelligence Bureau Officer Gopi Krishnan (Mammooty) to handle the operation. To work out the process in team, Gopi selects best police officials from various South Indian States that include Anwar Hussain (Arjun) from Tamil Nadu. Together, they decide to break down the plans, but get invited into the operation mission through a mysterious murder. What unfold next are the cat-n-mouse chases of two officers and the terrorist group.
To mark our verdicts on director Aravind T, he has been an extraordinary filmmaker over the ages with some best flicks in his career. Who can forget his splendid movies like ‘Oomai Vizhigal’ and ‘Senthura Poove?’ He has tried implementing some of the new-dimensioned techniques over the narration. Though the screenplay has been penned by producer Henry, Aravind has let his smartness revealed through the inclusion of latest technology like usage of Google, chips found at birds legs across Vedanthangal Birds Sanctuary and the biggest drama of 20 Years Time Travel is prodigious.
The first half has raciness due to various plots involved, but during the second half the pace drops down invariably. It’s all because the drama completely involves one-to-one investigation on terrorists.
Mammooty steals the show with his outstanding performance and Arjun as usual makes it appealing with his action packed role. Sneha doesn’t get much footage and reason involving her in the operation as terrorist’s daughter is a dim-witted idea.
Musical score by D. Imman is average and camera works by Vetri are commendable.
The film doesn’t boast more specialties. At few parts, it has some interesting elements and with a running length of 130mins, it deserves a watch once.

BaBa Movie Story:

The film opens with the birth of Baba, who is a 'baba amsa sambhootudu'. Baba (Rajnikanth) grows up as an atheist, hot-blooded guy and a Good Samaritan. His life style includes consuming alcohol, smoking beedi, chewing paan parag, His mother (Sujatha) and his maternal uncle are ardent devotees of Baba (the Baba who is supposed to be of 2000 years old and who live in Himalayas). Chamundeswari (Manisha Koirala) stays in the neighborhood of Baba and both of them fall in love.

Baba beats the son of a state minister Krishna Murthy (Asish Vidyardhi). Krishna Murthy demolishes the colony of Baba. When Baba is about to go to fight with Krishna Murthy, Baba's mother urges him to maintain calm and rebuild lost colony it by working hard. Baba joins as a labor in a shop and earns money. Chamundeswari tells Baba that she is not willing to marry a daily labor. Then Baba realizes that so far he has been only answerable for his mother. And if he gets married then he has to live for wife and kids. And he would become answerable to them. He would not be able to help for the society as he might become selfish after marriage. He feels that prema (love) is maya (illusion). At that time, a weird looking sadhu comes to him and tell him that its time for getting enlightened. Baba is taken to Himalayas where he meets the real Baba. He gets frightened by the atmosphere and wishes to return back to Chennai. Then real Baba grants 7 wishes to Baba. He can use any of these wishes anytime he wishes to utilize. Baba is sent back to Chennai. Baba still could not believe that he went to Himalayas met real Baba. He uses that mantra to test the power by wishing a flying kite to come and fall in his hand. He waits for a few seconds and decide that it was all his illusion. Later the kite follows him to his house and falls on his hand. He feels that its coincidental and tries the mantra again to a different kite and wishes it to fall on his lap. He goes into his house and close all the possible entries in the house. But the kite makes its way falls on his lap. That is where he realizes that Baba is real and God exists in the world.

He still has five more wishes life. And the minister Krishna Murthy comes to know about it. They call a tantrik (Amrish Puri) to foil the Baba's magic powers. What happens in the end and what is the message Baba wants to give to the public are the interesting points that are dealt towards the end of the film.

Drohi Tamil Movie Story:

An action packed treat, the story is set on the backdrop of Royapuram in Chennai and here live two friends Samy (srikanth) and Karuna (vishnu). Samy is a Brahmin boy but he is rough and tough while Vishnu is a cool headed guy. Story takes a turn when they see their teacher (pooja) murdered by a local gangster. Their approach to police doesn't work so they end up killing that gangster. Eventually, they use their brains and are bailed out but Karuna puts the blame on Samy which ends up in bitter rivalry between both as they grow. Trouble deepens when Samy falls in love with Karuna's sister (poorna). On the other hand, there is Sruthi (poonam) who falls in love with Vishnu. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Drohi Tamil Movie Presentation:

The director has come up with a predictable storyline but then it was his presentation and narrative that scores. The dialogues were good, the script didn't have flaws and the screenplay was breezy. Background score adds to the momentum and the songs were melodious. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was alright. Costumes were realistic and the art department was effective. Action sequences are appreciable. Srikanth is a revelation and he gives a fabulous performance. Vishnu is excellent. Purna looks hot and Poonam looks simply delicious. Both have set the screens on fire. Pooja did her bit effectively. Thyagarajan was decent.

Drohi Tamil Movie Conclusion:

The film relies mainly on the action sequences and also on the glamour quotient from the heroines. While the first half goes about with the laying of the plot, the second half reaches a new high with twists and turns. Overall, this is a film that will appeal to the commercial audience and to those who want a fast moving entertainer without much idle time. At the box office, this will be an above average grosser.

Sindhu Samaveli Tamil Movie Synopsis:

Sindhu Samaveli is about a girl’s constant battle in her mind about two men in her life . Sindhu Samaveli has a controversial story line wherein love blossoms between daughter-in-law and father-in-law. She has given her heart to one and her body to another.

Sindhu Samaveli Tamil Movie Story:

Anbu (Harish) is a brilliant student in a village school, somewhere in Kanyakumari area. His mother (Anupama Kumar) teaches in the same school and his dad Veerasami (Ghajini) is a CRPF soldier in Assam. His classmate is Sundari (Anakha), who is a failed student and elder to him by three years falls for him.

One day, his father gets injured in a militant attack and takes voluntary retirement and comes back to the village. The father dotes on his family especially his son, but tragedy strikes as his wife dies due to a snake bite.

Both father and son are heartbroken. Anbu decides to fulfil his mother’s dream of becoming a teacher. Around this time, his father and other relatives pressurize him to marry Sundari. The love birds live together for hardly a month, before they are separated as Anbu has to go to the teacher’s training school.

Sundari is left in the house to look after his dad, and soon due to certain incidents and circumstances they enter into a “forbidden relationship”. One day Anbu comes back and finds out the bitter truth leading to a taut nerve wracking climax on the high seas.

Irandu Mugam Movie Review:

Tamil cinema was dominated by political satires once. But they hardly found favour with masses of late, as romance and commercial masalas started to rule the roost. At such a juncture, comes ‘Irandu Mugam’, a movie on contemporary political situation in Tamil Nadu by ‘Oomai Vizhigal’ fame Aravindaraj.

In a nutshell, it is about a youth who aspires to become a Minister. When he becomes one, he goes corrupt. The onus is now on his secretary to correct him. Karan plays the Minister while Sathyaraj is his upright and honest secretary.

Much was expected since Sathyaraj was in the cast. In the past his films like ‘Amaithaipadai’ had political overtone and went on to become hits. Unfortunately, ‘Irandu Mugam’ fails to match the hype as it stutters in pace and scenes unfold without conviction. Sathyaraj gets limited screen space and seems to be under utilised.

Parthasarathy (Karan) is the son of a cook and a political science graduate. He aspires to become a Minister. His mimicry skills get him acquainted with the Chief Minister, who comes to his village for a meeting. He impresses him to become local leader of the party. This incurs him the wrath of Thamizh Sakthi (Nasser), a leader of the same party, who wants to promote his younger brother.

Turn of events lead to Thamizh Sakthi helping Parthasarathy become MLA with a promise that he should be with him and support him in all shady deals. As it happens Parthasarathy now becomes a Minister. Their corrupt ways earn them money.

There is one Pavithra (Suhani) daughter of opposition leader who is in love with Parthasarathy. Meanwhile, enters Sarveswaran (Sathyaraj), an IAS officer, who is committed to clean the political system. He has a bad past. He hatches a conspiracy and succeeds in reforming Parthasarathy. The duo now starts to work for the welfare of the people and also bring to book the greedy and corrupt.

Karan and Sathyaraj have tried to their potential. Since the script lacks conviction, their efforts couldn’t bear fruits. Suhani looks pretty. Nasser as usual impresses. The rest of the cast includes Anuradha Krishnamurthy, Kumaravel, Livingston, Kanja Karuppu, Anu Haasan, ‘Anni’ fame Malavika and M S Baskar.

Bharadwaj’s music is a letdown and he has tried to compensate with background score. Abdul Kalam cranks the camera while Ruben J’s razor-sharp dialogues at few places evoke applause. All said, ‘Irandu Mugam’ promises aplenty but delivers less.

Kadhal Solla Vandhen Movie Story:

A typical love story, the tale begins in the town of Trichy where Nanu Prabhu (balaji) joins college. He comes across Sandhya (meghna) and it is love at first sight for him. Soon, they become friends and joining them is another friend (bobby). The trio also gets a good name in the college and everyone likes them. However, the time comes when Prabhu confesses his feelings to Sandhya and she just walks away from him. Meanwhile, his parents get to know of the issue and stop his studies. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Kadhal Solla Vandhen Presentation:

The director has come up with a regular love tale and though the presentation was alright, the narrative was not so. The dialogues were witty and entertaining, the script was lengthy and the screenplay was moderate. Background score was good but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography did its bit as required. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were apt, art department was okay. Balaji has come up with a decent performance and he was at ease. Meghna looks seductive and her oomph factor is high so she has got strong potential. The real showstealer was Bobby who sends the audience into splits of laughter. Arya's guest appearance was good. The others didn't have much to offer.

Bale Pandiya Tamil Movie Review:

Adman Siddharth Chandrasheker makes his incursion into direction with AGS Entertainment’s Bale Pandiya with Vishnu of Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu fame and Pia Bajpai in lead roles. The title does not bear any resemblance to the old Sivaji Ganesan hit but for the ‘mama-maapley’ track in the ‘sirkkiren’ number. In his maiden directorial flick, Siddharth weaves a story about an unlucky

young man, his escapades in life and his interpretations of the same.

Right from his birth, Pandiyan (Vishnu) remains ill fated and his bad luck follows him wherever he goes. Some of the incidents to show this are amusing, especially when he gets into a big bus which breaks into two and the Nadi Josier (astrologer) dying while writing his horoscope! Even his suicide attempts are failures and he finally takes the help of henchman AKB to kill him. AKB is hired by politician Pasupathy (John Vijay) to kidnap Vaishnavi (Pia), daughter of fellow politician Jaiprakash, basically to silence him on a political issue. In the midst of this, Vivek comes from London in search of Pia to marry her. How the paths of all these people are brought in a single line and what life has in store for Vishnu, when he has decided to call it quits, is the story of Bale Pandiya.

The attempts of director Siddharth appear fresh and there are touches of his ad world experience in a few scenes. The summation of the events at the end is very interesting and novel too. And so are the title credits. Some of the dialogues are high on intelligent humor especially when Pia says on a good bye note to Vishnu “Inda situationla Birlavaa irundalum Tata nnu daan sollanum.” The scene where pedestrians and cyclists overtake Vishnu’s bike is funny. However, Siddharth has not held the screen play tightly through out and loses his grasp especially towards the end. The film seems to drag on with a meandering narration in the latter half.

For Vishnu, this is his second film and the lad has done justice to his role. Cute Pia passes muster but it is time she has a make over as her looks and costumes are virtually the same in all films. Amarendran, as the dada, is an impressive find. SS Music Gibran has nothing to write home about. John Vijay is rocking as always and is a delight to watch. Jaiprakash delivers right.

Vivek, as the man from London trying to chide the happenings in Chennai, is annoying mostly. But he can be forgiven when he talks some sense about giving way to ambulance and giving a simple solution for deep dug holes in the roads.

Devan Ekambaram’s debut as music director is just about satisfactory. The song ‘Happy’ is picturised differently with many singers and the Kangalal Kamalalayam is melodious. Devan’s music is very loud and his BGM even overlaps the dialogues in some scenes.

In short, if Siddharth had tweaked a few portions in the film, we would have said- Bale Siddharth!. Go without expectations and enjoy the ride!

Pandhayam Tamil Movie Story:
A repeated tale, the story begins with Sathya (Nitin) who is a fun loving guy and full of life, he is naughty, has pranks up his sleeve and has a happy go lucky nature. However, his life takes a turn when his close friend dies in a fire mishap. On probing, he discovers that it was the act of Masanam (Prakashraj) who is a minister now. Few years back, Masanam is a big time street rowdy who uses his muscle power and cunningness to come up to the top. Shakthi decides to teach him a lesson and comes to the city. His first breakthrough comes in the form of Thulasi (Sindhu Tolani) who happens to be the sister of Masanam and despite the warnings from his friends, Shakthi manages to impress Thulasi and wins her heart. Slowly he moves forward and gets inside the camp of Masanam also. What does he do from here? Is he really in love with Thulasi? What is the involvement of Visalakshi (Radikaa), Masanam's wife? All this forms the rest of the story.

Pandhayam Tamil Movie Presentation:
The story has oft been told in different formats and this time it is no different, the presentation was good and the narration was above average. Though the editing could have been improved at few points, the script was not too shoddy and the screenplay was executed well. Music was trendy and appealing while the camera was apt. Nitin Sathya came up with a good performance and showed the both sides of his nature with true talent. Sindhu Tolani did her role well as the heroine and looked quite attractive. Prakashraj does not require description since his performance was top notch. Vijay's cameo role was worth every second and his punch dialogues were relished. Radikaa did well as the scheming wife. The others did not have much to contribute on this.
